Bono is indeed working on the soundtrack to GANGS OF NEW YORK, taking advantage in the gap in the schedule between the Second and third legs of the ELEVATION tour. As to what it will sound like, check out his work on the soundtrack to THE MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL. Bono has re-assembled the MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL BAND for this project as well.

Some new info for you: I got a chance to listenb to John Williams and Moby's' re-interpretation of THE CANTINA SONG for ATTACK OF THE CLONES. It is heard during the now-famous night club scene. This track measures in at 300 bpm (beats per minute) and will have all the discos and radios on fire come April 2002!
