Kevin Smith is well-known for his frequent appearances at colleges around the country.
Last night, I got this e-mail from Thomas Chau, over at Cinema Confidential.com:

Kevin Smith broke it to us first at Cornell University....
The title of his film regarding fatherhood is titled: JERSEY GIRL
He also mentioned that Ben Affleck will sign on to star depending on if Affleck picks up "Daredevil" at FOX.

I’ve got Mysterio working to confirm the first half of that scoop. JERSEY GIRL. This is the story that Smith describes as small, along the lines of CHASING AMY, dealing with his experiences since the birth of his daughter. Sounds sweet.
The second half of this... well, I had a source inside New Regency confirm it for me over the weekend, and I guess I’ll count Smith as source number two. They are currently discussing the lead role in DAREDEVIL with Ben Affleck, and they’ve made him a firm offer. I know he likes the project, likes the character, and wants to do it, and that the producers seem equally interested in him. I guess it all comes down to timing for Affleck at this point.
