HERC's Seen The ANGEL Finale!!

Angel 3.22 FAQ

What’s it called?

“Tomorrow.”

Who’s responsible?

Tonight’s episode was written and directed by series creator David Greenwalt, who served the same functions on the second-season finale and the third-season opener.

What does TV Guide say?

“The darkly atmospheric series' third season comes to a close with an edgy and emotionally charged finale episode. After the initial torment of losing Connor (Vincent Kartheiser) to an interdimensional kidnapping, Angel (David Boreanaz) is downright giddy to once again be reunited with his son. Sadly, Connor's decision to live with his undead dad is forged in deception: Misled by the calculating Justine, the temperamental teen plots to exact (undeserved) revenge against his trusting father. In developments less grim, Lorne moves out of the hotel and makes for greener pastures; and an increasingly powerful Cordelia comes to terms with the fact that she is in love with someone other than Groosalugg (Mark Lutz).”

Connor? Isn’t his name Steven now?

“I can’t get used to calling him Steven,” admits Cordy.

The big news?

Skip’s back!

Fire-cage Skip? The feller who gave Cordy her demony powers?

That’s him.

Cordelia is in love with Angel. Right?

Right. (And we learn Angel is in love with Cordy too!)

Well, that can't be good for Buffy! Can it?

Let's hope word doesn't soon spread to Sunnydale.

Do we get more evidence of Cordy’s growing powers?

Once again, there’s a scene that’s going to remind more than a few of that “Spider-Man” movie.

What else is TV Guide not telling us?

While Lilah doesn’t encounter Angel this week, other members of the firm do.

Does Wes accept Lilah’s offer?

Shockingly, he does not!

But she does offer again, yes?

Oh yes.

Does Wes make contact with any of his former employees?

Nope.

What’s Justine the vampire slayer up to?

Helping Steven.

What are The Host’s greener pastures? Are they greener than Krevlornswath himself?

He’s taken a job in Vegas. (He has a friend with a club on the strip.)

So Lorne won’t be back next season?

It looks like not nearly as much.

That drown-Angel-in-a-box stuff we keep seeing in the promo isn’t the big season cliffhanger, is it?

It’s one of two mammoth cliffhangers.

Hasn’t it been established that Buffyverse vampires don’t need to breathe?

Yes. If Angel can find an octopus’ garden in the shade, he’s in no danger of perishing. But it seems Steven’s thought of that.

What’s good?

Fred’s vampire impression, and her hilarious worrying about Angel’s increasing happiness. Groo’s sad realization. Naked Lilah. (You heard right: naked Lilah.) The sheer enormity of that “other” cliffhanger. Lots of other cool stuff we’re not talking about.

What’s not so good?

Are we really to believe that Lorne is putting out albums now? And that he flies commercial airliners?

Is “Angel” better than “Buffy” now?

Herc hasn’t seen the “Buffy” finale yet. But if you take “Once More With Feeling” out of the mix, Herc might agree that Angel’s third was better than Buffy’s sixth. Might. Maybe.

How does it end, spoiler-boy?

Angel and another major character (who isn’t Steven) find themselves growing farther apart.
