Pants Off, Everybody!! Let The Rejoicing Begin!! Mel Gibson and George Miller

Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

Please, God, let this be true, but more importantly, please let it be great.

In the thirty-eight minutes since the VARIETY story landed online, I’ve gotten almost 50 e-mails about it. The trade says that Mel Gibson is going to get $25 million to return to one of his most iconic roles in a sequel that will start shooting in Australia next May.

Now, I’m excited at the idea of Mel doing it, but more than that, I’m positively dizzy at the idea that George Miller took three years to craft the script to what is currently being called FURY ROAD. I love George Miller. Plain and simple. He’s pound for pound one of my favorite filmmakers, and at $104 million, this sounds like one of the biggest things he’s ever been involved with.

Right now, there are no story details available, but rest assured... I’ve put every henchman I have on the case, and if you’re out there right now with a copy of this thing on your desk, then you know what the right thing to do is.

That's right, you should send it to Harry at P.O. Box 180011 - Austin, Tx 78718-0011! Because he is just the greatest most wonderful man I've ever known!

Despite that, I’d like you to send it to me.

Please. Give a dying man this one wish. Not that I’m dying. But if I were, I’d wish for the FURY ROAD script. And I’d wish for the finished film to be a work of apocalyptic genius. And I’d wish for it to be opening tomorrow. And I’d wish for a grazillion dollars.

But mainly I’d wish for that script...

"Moriarty" out.
