Griswold's Seen ANGEL 4.8!!

I am – Hercules!!

The first “Angel” since Nov. 17, 2002, airs tonight, and we’ve got a special guest reviewer, “Griswold,” back from Wally World to fill us in on the return of the White Room and precisely how sweaty Gavin Park is after having helped Jack Bauer rescue Kate Warner the previous evening:

Angel 4.8 FAQ

What’s the new one called?

“Habeas Corpses.”

Who's Responsible?

Teleplay is credited to freshman showrunner Jeffrey Bell (“Slouching Toward Bethlehem”).

What does TV Guide say?

“Another day has dawned for Angel Investigations, but terror still casts a shadow as the Beast cuts a murderous swath through the city. The shaky gang gathers at the hotel after a seemingly endless night facing a rain of fire and the emergence of the monster Cordy's vision predicts will bring about the Apocalypse. But before they can decipher recent events, they learn that Connor (Vincent Kartheiser), who went to Wolfram & Hart to uncover his connection to the Beast (Vladimir Kulich), is now trapped in the building with the demon. Angel, along with Fred, Gunn and Wesley, prepares to rescue his son. But first the group must reckon with the firm's employees, who have undergone a strange transformation.”

What is TV Guide not telling us?

Cordelia seems just as concerned to save Connor as Angel does, if not more.

The Big News?

One of ouur favorite employees from Wolfram and Hart dies.

The Bigger News?

Angel Investigations is still nowhere strong enough to fight The Beast.

Last time we checked up on Angel Investigations, weren't Cordy and Angel Jr. comshucking?

Yes, yes they were, but it is put to a stop this week when Cordy seems as disgusted with it almost as much as we were. She tells him it can't happen again and Connor gets a little upset.

Well tha'ts a shame. We can still depend on Lilah and Wes for some good sex though, right?

Well......Wesley seems to think it is a good idea to stop their relationship as well. Apparently fighting with the good guys, dominates over evil.

So Wesley makes his triumphiant return to Angel Investigations?

Not officially, but it looks like it has happened. Funny how an apocalypse brings people back together.

Any sign of Wesley's Dispense-A-Weapon?

Not this week.

What is going on with the rest of Angel Investigations?

Angel was severely pissed with Cordy and Connor's night together. He doesn't show it too well to the others though. Gunn continues to hate Wesley and Fred continues to seem like she likes Gunn.

Last time we checked Fred seemed to be pretty set off from Gunn...

Well she seems to have gotten over it a bit. She shows a bit of anger towards him at times and she also seems to get along very well with Wes.

How is Lilah?

She planned to negotiate with The Beast, since they both want an apocalypse. Lucky Gavin gets to go about with this.

Does Gavin get around to it?

The Beast seems to tend to kill things first and ask questions later.

So Gavin is dead for the rest of the episode?

Ummmmm..... not so much. Hundreds of Wolfram and Hart employees seem to be slaughtered though.

Is Lilah slaughtered too?

Close to it, Wesley comes to her rescue though.

Is Connor?

Connor fights with The Beast a bit, but gets beat up a little first. The gang find him just in time. Angel does not allow Cordy to come along for the visit though. Lorne hotel-sits too.

So getting out of Wolfram and Hart was easy enough, right?

Well, all of the employees that were killed had a bad case of turning into zombies. The building also went into a security lock down so no one could escape.

So how do they escape?

Angel luckily remembers the White Room, and he seems to think they can escape from there with the girl that lives there's help.

Does she help?

Yes, she teleports them back home, but not before The Beast steals some sort of life force out of her as well.

What's Good?

Angel in the opening teaser, his inuendo about Connor and Cordy. The fighting between Gunn and Wesley. Seeing hundreds of employees laied about dead.

What's not so good?

Connor makes a pretty broad journey to learn nothing about his connection to The Beast. No Wes with pistols. Not too much fighting and Gunn seemed to get away from that room full of zombies a little too easily.

How does it end?

"Now you and your boyfriend can get the hell out of here!"
