Tales of the Buffyverse!!

I am – Hercules!!

If “Angel” comes back to the WB for a fifth season, will Spike be part of it?

The Grand Slam Star Trek conventions have somehow morphed into Star Trek/Star Wars/Buffy the Vampire Slayer conventions, and the one held this weekend in Los Angeles had James Marsters in attendance.

From “Manny”:

Some interesting tidbits:

1) James needed to wake up at 4am for a 5:30 am shoot involving him naked! Could there be a last hurrah, so to speak, between Buffy and Spike?

2) Joss Whedon promised to James that Spike will be in Angel! That is, if WB renew the show, and if WB agrees to bring another vampire with a soul to "Angel."

3) Joss hasn't talked to James about a possible Spike spin-off.

That's about it — Juliet and Nick Brendon, as expected, are sad about Buffy ending...but they both have some off-Broadway projects in the planning stages, plus, Nick and his wife are developing some TV project.

From “Mr. Blonde”:

"I was at Grand Slam convention in Pasadena. During James Martsters Q and A, he said that the spinoff idea is still up in the air and may end up happening or might not. But he said that he was recently asked by Joss Whedon to join the cast of Angel next season. He has agreed, and he believes that Angel is definetly going to be renewed for a 5th season. "

"At the convention was Juliet Landau, Danny Strong, James Leary (Clem), Andy Hallett, Nick Brendon and James Marsters. No one but Nick and James gave plot info. Nick said something about him developing some sort of powers before the end of the show due to something that happens to him (Im guessing the Bringers cutting out his eye.) James just rehashed his old "the ending will be romantic, tragic, incredible, and the worst thing imaginable." Other than that most of the questions were of the "What is your favorite / least favorite episode...etc?"

Finally, UPN has confirmed via press release the dates for the final five “Buffy” installments:

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, which has garnered both extraordinary critical acclaim and a fiercely devoted fan base, will conclude its seventh and final season with five all-new episodes beginning Tuesday, April 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. The remaining four one-hour episodes will air on April 29, May 6 and May 13 with the series' last ever original program on May 20 (all at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

This five episode story 'arc' will pit Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) against her most insidious and evil opponent ever, Caleb (Nathan Fillion), a depraved operative of 'The First,' in a final, no-holds-barred battle to the death that will decide whether good or evil will prevail over the Earth. In this epic confrontation, Buffy is joined by two powerful figures from her past, Angel (David Boreanaz) and Faith (Eliza Dushku).

Mark your calendar for these and our own May 20 “Buffy” blow-out here in Los Angeles. We’ve got some handsome sites targeted, but we’re looking for something big enough to handle the crowd we expect, based on your tastefully rabid early reponses. Keep watching this site (and your e-mailbox if you’ve been in touch).
