Don't Worry about THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN...

Harry here, wanted to nip this AMAZING SPIDER-MAN story that Drudge just broke about the legal suit between MARVEL and SONY Corporation. It broke about 15-20 minutes ago and it just sort of started this flood of concerned emails from geeks that SONY was about to have SPIDER-MAN taken away from them and that the film would be canned in the meanwhile. SO, I decided to call Avi Arad to get him to clear things up.

According to Avi, who can't comment directly on the case due to sealed (leaked) court papers, but this isn't about the film, but merchandising. The film is going ahead, "the dailies are looking beautiful, Sam is doing a great job.." and all that. So once again, I just wanted to clearly state that this isn't going to stop THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN from happening. Meanwhile Avi is thrilled about the tracking on X2, he's convinced that a good deal of the "problems" that people are having regarding the HULK looking too CG will begin to go away with the next trailer, which he recommends seeing in a THEATER before commenting on.

So once again, I want to clarify... If you've read THE DRUDGE REPORT about SPIDER-MAN, that's about toys, bed sheets, t-shirts, baby bottles, pillows, toys and what not. Ok? I just want them to continue to make that SPIDER-MAN cereal... my nephew loves that stuff and it has been discontinued from the Grocery stores. We tried refilling the boxes with a different cereal, but he can tell the difference. The pieces of cereal are not Web shaped. This gets him mad, he pushes the bowl away and says, "NO WANT IT!" So if the resolution of this court case means that my nephew can get his cereal again... Then let's hope it hurries up and gets done with!
