EVIL DEAD 1&2 Musical Play review!

Hey folks, Harry here... ya know something is making big dents in pop-culture when it's being transformed into community musical theater. Hopefully, somebody will put on the musical version of SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, hearing "If I Could Smell Her Cunt," being sung on stage... well it might bring a tear to my eye! Here ya go...

Evil Dead 1&2 The Musical reveiw

Hey stood in line yesterday for an hour and a half to get walk up tickets to Evil Dead 1&2 the musical. A show that started up last week in Toronto and runs to nov.1st.Wow, for a small regional production it turned out to be a great, funny and bloody tribute to my favorite movies of all time.

A surprise appearance by Ellen Sandweiss ( Cheryl in the original evil dead ) capped a perfect evening.  Now what about the play itself? Well it was created by Christopher Bond & George Reinblatt and is quite simply one of the funniest things I have ever seen and if ever adapted to bigger scale could be the rocky horror pitcher show of its time A fine cast lead by outstanding performances by Danielle Meierhenry as Cheryl and Ryan Ward with his great mimic/tribute as Ash.The songs were for the most part great with only a few that could have been cut or polished.

Highlights included a giant necronomicon, our regional horror mag rue morgue filming a documentary on the ladies of the evil dead and the songs  "houseware's employee", Look who's evil now",and" bit part demon." I must say what really impressed me are the little details the got right, such as the blood splatter on ash's face to the rips on his shirt I must say this fanboy was impressed. Well i hope this review is something you can use you may call me   Lotep The Furious
