Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

Boy, howdy, I loves me some FIREFLY. I gave away numerous copies of the DVD box set this Christmas to friends and family to convince them that the show is great. I think it was just starting to really work as well as it could when the plug got pulled, so the news that they’re making a movie at Universal for $35 million that will not only play theaters but which also might serve as a pilot for another series... well, that’s just freakin’ great. I can’t be much happier about it.

Funny stuff going on regarding some cool casting news about the show today. CHUD ran a story referring to a casting breakdown that supposedly appeared over on a FIREFLY fansite called Browncoats.com. They even quoted some of the casting sheet. Problem is, there’s nothing on that site now. The entire breakdown appears to have been reproduced in the CHUD Forums, where you can can see it if you scroll down and look for Barry Woodward’s entry.

Any news about this film is good news, and I can’t wait to see how the movie comes together. In the meantime, I’ll continue to build my oversized outdoor shrine to the insanely-beautiful Morena Baccarin. Nice way to pass the time till the film comes out, eh?
