Credit where credit is due!!!

Many of you have been e-mailing me with congratulations over being named the 101st most powerful person in Hollywood by Entertainment Weekly. But really who you should be thanking are the countless spies, agents and geeks like yourselves that make this site what it is.

Together for this past year and a half I have built with the help of all of you an important new concept and have forced the world to take notice. By contributing to this site you are making a difference, day in day out, the most powerful people in Hollywood are reading the scoops, stories and your thoughts on film. There have been instances where the information has changed the way things were handled in Hollywood. They listened. What we have done, has never before happened. Never before (to my knowledge) have people around the globe contributed information on a daily basis so quickly and then was read by those in the positions of power. This is truly remarkable.

Here we have producers, writers, directors, actors, crew members, and the AUDIENCE contributing information, because they are tired of the status quo, because they love the site and because they want to share their love for film with all of us. Becoming the #101 on Entertainment Weekly's magazine, being put in WIRED's 2.0 list, and I've heard rumors about Premiere too, have just highlighted the fact that WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE.

What has this all done to me? Well, I get more emails, phone calls and meetings. At the same time my car is broke down, my computer is still a sucky load of crap and my sister is still evil. I still see movies most every day in theaters, I still light up with every contribution of cool info, and I am getting to do some things that I never dreamed I would get to do and it's all because of you.

To Hollywood and the Film Industry: Thanks for existing. I love your films and want to see more great products year after year. Keep making great movies, start making great movies, and we will all see them.

To Readers: I hope you will continue to grace the site with that "what's next?" mentality. I hope I can continue to bring you what both you and I want to read. And I hope you have the same sense of love for films that I have when reading the site.

and last but not least...

To Contributors: With all my heart and with the thanks of all the readers I thank you all. (see I can non-contract those two words) You make thousands upon thousands happy with your news and blurbs. And lastly you are making a difference. Ultimately that's the big one. YOU are making the difference.

And while I'm at it I might as well pat myself on the back just a bit, I admit to long hours and frenzied writing, but most of all I'm shocked by all of this. I mean GEEZUS there are people going to bed at night wearing my cartoon face to bed!!! While to others, they wake and see me on their screens as a homepage. My god it's scary. There is a thrill, a burst of electricity that runs through me as I type to yall each night. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. For the well to run dry, but still it works.

And lastly to the following four people, without whom I'd never of started this site...

ROLAND DENOIE--- Lifelong friend whose email account I still use and who introduced me to the web.

MIKE D'ANGELO--- For getting into those damn arguments over posting pics to the newsgroups.

and...

DAVE COLE--- For coming to the site's aid when the s-word hit the fan and I had nowhere else to turn, he hosted the site with unnamed other cool people too that wish to be nameless.

Thank you all, and I will endeavor to bring you what you so desire... COOL NEWS about the films we love, WARNINGS about the ones we won't, and news about a hopeful future.
