I am – Hercules!!

Will NBC’s three-hour version of the acclaimed 2003 four-hour “Battlestar Galactica” miniseries, airing this Saturday, constitute the only miniseries repeat available before the new regular series launches on the SciFi Channel Jan. 14?

It will not! If you’re not keen on shelling out $20.40 for the unabridged miniseries DVD, the SciFi Channel will repeat all four hours of the mini the evening of Jan. 12.

And not only that: Between Jan. 10 and Jan. 14, SciFi is airing all 24 hours of the classic “Galactica” series as well as its 10-episode “Galactica 1980” sequel. Find now all the Galactici you’ll ever want or need:

Find a review of 1.10, satcast for the first time in the United Kingdom tonight, here.

No word yet on when the Universal HD Channel will begin satcasting the no-doubt-glorious high-definition version. One wonders if “Galactica” is, in fact, the reason the channel has yet to post its January schedule.

(Much love, by the way, to the Universal HD Channel, which also repeats high-def versions of "Karen Sisco," "Mister Sterling," "Century City," "Special Victims Unit," "Touching Evil" and loads of uncensored Universal movies like "Billy Madison" and "Out of Sight." Let's hope all studios follow suit. My pulse quickens at the thought of a Sony HD Channel, a Paramount HD Channel, a Warner Bros. HD Channel ... )
