Tim Sullivan is writing SHREK 4! Yes, 4!!!

Hey folks, Harry here! Dreamworks after socking away a BILLION dollars of Shrek money has decided that not only get SHREK 3 in pre-production, but they've hired the writer to start cracking on SHREK 4... and they've also started writing on PUSS IN BOOTS their first SHREK spin-off! This pretty much guarantees that Burger Kings will constantly have Shrek's inflated head atop them. Well at least they're not going to force us to be fed up and tired of the character and that universe. I mean... I know constant self-parody and mass media tie-ins is what modern story telling is all about! And it is definitely the direct path towards making timeless tales that'll never age. Like when SNOW WHITE brought the Seven Dwarfs Pepsodent and Ovaltine. Or when Bambi learned to fire his Red Ryder BB rifle with the compass in the stock!

Now Tim Sullivan is writing SHREK 4 - he's not the director of 2001 MANIACS darn it, that'd be an interesting SHREK 4. Instead - this is the Tim Sullivan that's adapted A HANDFUL OF DUST and WHERE ANGELS FEAR TO TREAD over in England. And David Steinberg is writing PUSS IN BOOTS where we see the best thing about SHREK 2 stretched out to a feature of his own. So - if you loved the first two SHREK films - then you'll love this news. However, if you thought the first film was enough, you haven't even yet begun to be worn out by his adventures.
