Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here. Harry and I heard from Jack Black's management today, a very emphatic statement that Jack will NOT be doing either LAND OF THE LOST or H.R. PUFNSTUF. Makes you think maybe Marty Krofft was just dreaming out loud on the radio, eh? After all, he got Will Ferrell attached with Adam McKay directing. I'm sure he would love to have Jack Black also attached, but right now, that's not the case. Anyway... here's the original story...
Hey folks, Harry here with a bit of crazy coolness. Seems Jack Black and Will Ferrell are gonna double team Kirsten Dunst and show her their Brontosaurus and T-Rex! How killer is that? Seems Jack can't get over his dino fever from Kong and wants more prehysterics! Who can blame him? Hell, next thing ya know he'll become the spokesman for SINCLAIR gas insisting that you put a Dinosaur in your Tank! As for him playing Witchiepoo... there's not enough acid in the world to drop for that film!
Marty Krofft was on the radio this morning talking about the DVD
releases of "Land of the Lost" The subject of the new movie version
came up. He said that along with Will Ferrell, the movie will also
have Kirsten Dunst and Jack Black. He also mentioned that they plan
to use the lowest of the high tech digital effects when making the
film so it will look similar to the tv series. He then talked about
how they are going to be making an HR Pufnstuf movie with Jack Black
staring in it as Witchiepoo.
