Hey folks, Harry here... I know it's popular to sort of poke fun at the ROCKY series in some corners of film fandom - but I'll shoot straight with ya. I fucking love the 4 ROCKY movies that have been made. And I just am not a fan of ROCKY 5. To me, it never felt like a ROCKY flick - it didn't feel like Balboa's story arc. But looking at the trailer for ROCKY BALBOA - Stallone looks fucking awesome. I like that he didn't have CG artists come in and pretty him up. That he's letting the age hang out. I love that he's a bit punchdrunk and hurtin. I love that shot of his face beat to a pulp by Mason Dixon in that one powerful punch we see landed. And honestly - I just fucking love Stallone as Balboa. That's what it comes down to. One of the reasons I don't pick on AB KING is that AB has the balls to wear his love for Stallone and Arnold proudly and loudly. And I get that. Those guys were gods, and I hate how we treat our gods today. Let em age, but let em age on camera like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Make their characters meaner, more deperate, more to the point. Sure, they're old. But they could still kick all of our asses. But as I sit here watching this trailer again and again - I just can't wait to see Stallone in a terrifically brutal punishing, possibly life threatening match on screen. I want to see Stallone really have a great film here. And I like what I see here... alot.
