Remake of THE LION IN WINTER in the works'

Eisenstein wrote me with a very intriguing behind the scenes look at what is going on with Martin Poll, the producer of the original Hepburn and Peter O'Toole LION IN WINTER. It seems that he is busily working to retrieve nearly all notes and information about his old film in preparation of an alleged remake to star Emma Thompson in the Hepburn role. Well, gosh... If anyone in existence can even begin to hope to somehow step out of the shadow of Katherine Hepburn... well I'd have to say it would be Emma Thompson. And... if Kenneth Branagh and her could get along again... well I'd say it would be a fantastic doubling of those two again, but hey, that's just me. If they can't get Branagh... well I don't think I would want to see the film remade. The original is not dated and I believe the story to have held up wonderfully. Que sera sera.... whatever will be we'll see...
