Modification / correction to previous "Crusade" post !!!

Glen here...

...with important modifications to my previous post regarding TNT's forthcoming TV movie Babylon 5: A Call to Arms, and changes apparently being made to its spin-off seriesCrusade.

In said post, I had originally written the following in reference to Crusade(the following has now been removed to avoid confusion):

I am told Garibaldi's office on Mars had already been designed for an episode called "Ruling from the Tomb". However, said designs were tossed out - and there's no longer any sign of Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) in Peter David's current script. Also, an already filmed flashback to Lyta Alexander (Patricia Tallman) during the Telepath War has been excised from an episode called "The Path of Sorrows". Interestingly enough, an extremely similar sequence...featuring a different character and actress...subsequently replaced Tallman's cut appearance. Both of these factors do seem to support Coaxial's recent assertions that TNT is...ummmm....requesting Crusade keep a distance from B5 myth-arc. ((Thanks to UMBRASPRITE for the episode specific details mentioned above)).

Well, I was way off-base here.

Coaxial is correct in its assertions that Ms. Tallman and Jerry Doyle were to reprise their B5 characters for specific episodes in Crusade. However, in this instance, their being dropped from these episodes had *nothing* to do...specifically...with TNT's interference.

Seems that when the time came to film "The Path of Sorrows", Ms. Tallman was busy working on a film project and was unavailable. Her part was indeed written, but her "role" in the show had to be re-configured due to unavailability. I have also been informed that Mr. Doyle's planned appearance in "Ruling from the Tomb" was eventually canceled due to economic consideations. .

Both occurrences are said to be happenstantial and unfortunate, but not necessarily a part of an alleged (and perceived) bigger picture regarding TNT's interference with the development of Crusade.

I do apologize for this confusion.

While I obviously was right about the essence of the reports, I was wrong about the causality of the circumstances leading to Ms. Tallman's and Mr. Doyle's being dropped from the episodes. Contrary to popular assertions, I have no problem with eating crow, and all I want to do here is be as "right" as I can possibly be - given the nature of this site.

Finally, to my source UBERSPRITE, I apologize as well. I took some information he sent in, mixed it with some other periphery information, and came-up with a picture that seemed legitimate, accurate, and fully rendered. Everything fit together, and pointed towards my initial statements as being correct.

They were not.

Sorry for the confusion (and unfounded accusation) in this particular instance. Hope this helps make things right. I really do...
