They're shooting some incredible stuff. I don't think it's like anything on TV now. The action is pure HK (Hong Kong) style (ie. Martial arts, Guns blazing while sliding down banisters, it's like a violent ballet). At one point, the villains...a HK Triad...drive through a cricket game and then open fire to take down a rival British Triad.

The hero (surgeon Dr. Jekyll) has his hands pinned to a table using scalpels, and is then slugged into unconsciousness. That's after waking up to find his kidney missing. It was removed by a organ harvester -- a creepy looking man in his 80's, wearing a rubber apron and rubber gloves and using a small power saw.

Immediately following the clubfest, Jekyll is brought to the deck of a yacht where he finds his wife tied to a buoy. Jekyll is thrown overboard...swims for the buoy...removes his wife's gag...ONLY TO FIND IT RIGGED TO A BOMB!

Jekyll barely survives His wife is killed. And the road to vengeance begins!

Glen again...

...how's THAT for an intense superhero origin?
