LORD OF THE RINGS stuff...

The rumor about Gollum having a famous voice is... NOT TRUE. I just found out from a friend at Weta, that they just completed some tests with a lot of people and narrowed it down to one fella, whom... at least this guy had never heard of, and bet me $50 that I hadn't heard of him either. He says that apparently New Line is taking a look see at the chap and we'll be seeing soon! So... take note... the below bit about Gollum is UNTRUE... However, Deluca apparently really did say what it says at TheOneRing.Net.

Hey folks, now for a look at LORD OF THE RINGS. First up is the news from TheOneRing.Net that concerns the voice of Gollum being cast. However, they do not know who that voice is yet. Hmmm... Then, the word is Sean Connery passed on the role of Gandalf. The reason is more about length of time commitments (something that Peter hypothesized about in the first 20 questions) than material I'm told. Meanwhile, DeLuca apparently suggested the name... Anthony Hopkins to a fella as another option. Hopkins has not been cast... Repeat... He has not been cast yet. Meanwhile, another source of mine says that the elvish armor is stunning. Very elegant, yet practical. But obviously from a culture that prides itself on artistry and elegance. I'm told it is very very elvish. (whatever that means) Like I said, be calm... Like the X-MEN film, names are being circled and I expect announcements soon.
