Henry Pym on STAR WARS EPISODE 2 and Coppola's MEGALOPOLIS

Hey folks Harry here. Alrighty, this spy, Henry Pym, might very well go from being an ‘ant’ sized spy to a ‘giant’ spy over the coarse of the upcoming years. This is not the first, nor the second time he’s written me. He started off a few months back, and I didn’t print what he wrote because I needed to see it get confirmed first. Eventually it did. He’s the real deal, so now you are going to formally get introduced to him. Everybody.... This is Henry Pym, his wife Janet can’t be here today, she’s off shopping. Maybe next time. Anyways, there are some spoilerish Episode 2 type things here. So if you are a purity person. This is your invitation to click that there BACK button on your browser. As for the rest of you. He’s also got a tidbit about Coppola’s MEGALOPOPLIS. Well, here’s Dr Pym....

Okie. First, Byrne hasn't been casted yet. He's a favorite of Lucasfilm. His likeness already appears on some Lucasfilm's walls. Right Now, Byrne is a face who meets a character imagined by Lucas. Which One ? I can't tell for now, but Byrne is already part of SW universe even if he isn't awared of it. You see, it's not unusual for our Designing team to create future STar Wars characters based on existing actors. It happened mostly with Ben during E1 pre-prod, when Rufuss Sewell, Russell Crowe and Ralph Fiennes were all candidates. To get an idea of what I mean, get your "Making Of Episode 1, The Phantom Menace", turn to page 28 and you will see a sketchy concept of Ralph Fiennes playing Obi-Wan. Does it mean that Ralpf Fiennes was a shoo-in for episode 1. Oh no. It's a little game played by Lucasfilm's staffers and mandated by George Lucas himself. However, don't throw out the possible casting of Byrne and Fiennes, although Crowe and Sewell's chances are pretty slim.

Jar Jar you say, well, it appears that you will have to learn to live with him. He will be involved, in some ways anyway. I for sure that in 1997, Jar Jar was supposed to appear in all three prequels and this was the master-plan. Nothing was about to change all this. As for today, it's still the plan.

AS for the Casting of Fett (I started the hoopla about Byrne-Fett), well Lucas wants a Young actor. This young man isn't Byrne.

Little News.

1. The Most Important Character in the prequels is Darth Sidious, it's known that the whole story of the prequels is told from his point of view and not from Anakin's one, nor Ben's one. It may not be apparent now, but it is. Lucas said so. All this will lead to a pivotal moment in the sw universe. An event underestimated now. ( I'm trying to say, that this event isn't Anakin's fall , the wedding or The birth of Luke and Leia). DS leads to DS.

2. Now, let me get you the real deal on whether or Not E1 was for child or wasn't. E1 was and E2 will be darker but still a ride for all ages. It's the plan. You will get a different feel from it, mainly because Anakin will be older. However, I can't fool millions of SW fans, E2 won't be the Holy Grail expected by some. It's not the plan. The plan for E2 is more about Anakin trying to get the Woman of his dream, not to kill every living Jedi Knights alive. When Lucas says, it's a love story, he's telling you right in the eyes the basis of E2. The whole Sith Lords kicking asses in the background plot is as much important as the whole Darth Vader kicking asses plot of The Empire Strikes Back. Not always shown, but always understated. E3 will be the dandy for the For most of you. I can't tell everyone of ya to shut your expectations down to the bottom, coz it's gonna rock anyway. Swallow the pill, it's gonna be sentimental, TITANICish by moments, it's a love story by George Lucas, with a war in the background. E2 is anything like you imagine, all those speculations of yours are useless because you don't know yet what Lucas meant by "Clone Wars". Another thing, wait until to see the number of planets shown in E2. The universe will be somehow different in this one, we'll go in places that we never been before and all this was done in purpose. E2 will be the logical next step for E1, where E3 would have been a jump . In E2, you will visit the SW universe from within, through Amidala/Anakin's love story. Something never done yet in a Star Wars movie.

The Boy who would be Anakin hasn't been chosen yet, however there's a fairly short list of names out there. Try to get it from another spy than me, I'm too close to the project. Auditions have been underway since well before E1 releases in May. Is the man in the hot seat Leonardo DiCaprio ? I wish so, because I think he's a really talented actor but he's not a front-runner. The winner of this role will more than likely be basically unknown to fans and 18 to 20 years old.

BTW, I've heard about Coppola's "Megalopolis". From what I've been told, it's the story of the most richest man on earth (fictionnal), from his rise to his downfall. As for Godafather 4, 3 months ago, the rumour was very HOT, then it took dive. Puzo's death wasn't a factor, neither Leonardo DiCaprio. When I first heard about the rumour, Nicholas Cage was mentionned as well.

Sorry, for my typewriting or lack of it. It's not my duty to write what I'm sending you. spellings and grammars, sorry, I'm in a hurry.

Henry Pym
