Well... Here's the first image I've seen from the next (ie... future) Miyazaki film. And ya know... I'm intrigued. Any Miyazaki that concerns humans transformed into Pigs... well... PORCO ROSSO is my fave Miyazaki... So... goody goody. Here's the scoop...
Hey, guess what? The first image is out. A (very) small sketch by Miyazaki-san himself, showing the main character and one of her parents:
Yes, it's about a girl (10 years old, named Chihiro) whose parents have been turned into pigs. Tentative title is "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi," which translates as something like "A Thousand and Chihiro's Spirited Away." Release sometime in 2001. Also, older news you may have heard: Miyazaki is currently working on 3 shorts to be shown only at the Ghibli Museum being built; one of them is a Totoro sequel entitled "Mei to Konekobus" ("Mei and the Kittenbus.")
