Starship Troopers: Roughnecks is in trouble!

Greetings readers, El Cosmico here, a reader alerts us to dire days for the Starship Troopers series, Roughnecks. Those of you who are fans of this series may have your work cut out for you, read the note below for info about what you can do to help save this show:

You may have already received previous e-mails on this subject, but it bears additional support: Roughnecks - Starship Troopers Chronicles is in trouble!

As everyone watching this series knows, it's had a large share of problems. It premiered with only five finished episodes (as a daily series)! Additional episodes were aired as they were completed, which meant the entire serial was shuffled up and played out of order. With main characters dying, relationships and alliances changing, people getting crippled and in general succumbing to the horrors of war, that's been a very bad thing.

And since neither BKN nor Sony have any sort of advertising budget for the show, it's been basically swept away and forgotten about. Except by the fan base, which has been becoming increasingly devoted and vocal about the show.

BUT NOW THE SHOW IS IN TROUBLE!!!

Beginning May 15th, for the first time all 40 episodes will be airing in chronological order. BKN will be watching the ratings very closely at this point to determine if the show will be picked up for a second season. So if no one watches, the show will end with this first season's major cliffhanger season finale.

We're encouraging everyone who watches and enjoys the show to tell their friends about it. And write in to Sony! http://www.roughneckchronicles.com/ has launched a major fan campaign, giving addresses for fans to write to Sony & Bohbot, sign petitions, and post fliers. And we as fans want to continue spreading the word!

If you could find the chance to post something on aint-it-cool-news, you would help us tremendously by directly reaching your huge audience. We think this show deserves so much better than the hand its been dealt.

Thank you for listening to our plea,

Tim Pyle

Well, there you have it. If you're a fan, get on over to roughneckchronicles and add yourself to the campaign. If you know a Nielsen family, now's the time to spend more quality time with them.
