Well... Here we go. I love Michael Mann's work, but I've still got the ol... prove it attitude with the Will Smith casting as Ali... Personally, I just do not... under any circumstances see it. Now, I'm hoping I'm wrong, that there's this great transforming persona inside of Will Smith which will suddenly make the Fresh Prince disappear leaving nothing but the god known as Ali behind. With Pacino there alongside him... perhaps, we already know Mann can direct the shit out of Al, as for this DeNiro project below... I haven't heard much on it... What's the scoop folks?

I came across a tidbit of information today that you might be interested in. You see, I work right near Hollywood......Florida, that is. And today I met with a man who is a legend in the sport of boxing. His name is Angelo Dundee. Who the hell is this Dundee guy, you ask? Well, he only trained about 15 world champions, including some guy named Cassius Clay.

And the reason I am telling you this is because this guy is about to be portrayed on the big screen by two of the best actors in the biz. Robert De Niro is already signed on to play him in a movie called " Out on My Feet." And to his knowledge, Al Pacino is being tapped to play him in the Will Smith/Muhammad Ali flick. You know your pretty damn cool when you got these two guys playing you in two different movies, and probably coming out around the same time.

I saw a picture of Angelo and De Niro in his office when he came to visit a couple of weeks ago, and he talked with me briefly about Will Smith coming into his gym to start training for his movie (BTW, he seemed to approve of the casting of Smith, where I think he doesn't really fit the bill.....but he would know better).
