BBC Film Studios and DR WHO'

Well folks, Harry here.. and of all the British papers... the Sunday Times is usually the most reliable, and more exciting than even the news about DR WHO is this BBC FILM STUDIOS news as the BBC has exquisite tastes... and having a new big studio space available and standing behind artists... that isn't American owned... well, it is always a good thing... Here ya go...

Dear Harry,

Today's Sunday Times (London) reports that the BBC is planning a new film studio to make big budget films that capitalise on the successes they've had with low budget films (including an Oscar nomination for 'Mrs Brown').

The new movies will include a series of Dr Who films (which are already being planned) and 'I captured the Castle', an adaptation of the book by Doddie Smith who wrote 101 Dalmations. There will also be an £18 million film about Mary, Queen of Scots, and Anthony Minghella ('Truly,Madly, Deeply' and 'The English Patient') is currently writing a period romance about a painter and a Nun for the new studio.

All the best,

Darren B
