NEW STUFF ADDED: SPIDER-MAN news... Aunt May Cast!

Hey folks, Harry here in New Zealand and I just got the news from SciFi.Com that Sam Raimi just gave a press conference about THE GIFT, where he revealed that Cliff Robertson (as we previously announced) was playing Uncle Ben and that 73 year old Rosemary Harris will be playing Aunt May! They also said a great many other things that Raimi told them, so run over there and check it out.... Meanwhile, I'll fill you in on Rosemary. She's been a Stage and Film actress for about a half century now.... playing alot of Shakespearean roles. She was nominated for a TONY this year (as you can see from the photos) and you probably most know her from her part.. opposite Charlton Heston as the Player Queen in Branagh's HAMLET. Well, I'd tell you more, but I have to be off to write more on LORD OF THE RINGS. This is a very strong choice, as most folks will come to know her as only Aunt May.

Father Geek here with some more info on the future Aunt May. Rosemary was chilling in a small role in 1978's great BOYS FROM BRAZIL. She was also in the 54 version of BEAU BRUMMELL and 1988's wonderful CROSSING DELANCEY. She was nominated for an Academy Award for TOM & VIV in 94 and a BAFTA for 1983's PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH.

She done tons of great TV both stateside and in England including such classic specials as WUTHERING HEIGHTS, OTELLO, PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, TALE OF TWO CITIES, and of course HOLOCAUST for which she won a GOLDEN GLOBE, and THE NOTORIOUS WOMAN where she won the EMMY. But she was unforgettable as Dorthy in the 1957 "GLASS EYE" episode of ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS. She's one of those great charactor actresses that you know, but don't know. I have the feeling that won't be a problem in the future.

Harry Here Again! It should also be noted that In the SciFi.Com article, it mentions that Bruce Campbell will be in SPIDER-MAN.... Well folks, I have just found out what he's playing... Bruce will portray the ring announcer during Parker/Spidey's fight with Bone Saw McGraw, who will be played by Randy Macho Man Savage! Also, Eddie Brock and Dr Curt Connors have 1 scene cameos... at least as of the David Koepp December 4th draft. More as i hear! Amazing what I can do in New Zealand.... aint it?
