Collateral Damage ˆ On Set Report and pictures

Austrian Newspaper „Die Neue Krone‰ had an exclusive first-look article on Arnold Schwarzeneggers new movie „Collateral Damage‰ last Sunday.

The movie ist currently shooting in Mexico (as a subsitute for Columbia) with Andrew Davis directing. The location is a few kilometers out of Coatapec, a small town around Xalapa, the capital of the province Veracruz (in Mexicos Southwest). 250 locals work in the production and one of the actresses in the movie is also a local. The newspaper also has a short passage about the storyline:

A Los Angeles fireman (Arnold) loses wife and child in a terrorist bombing, that was supposed to kill the Columbian Embassador. Frustrated with the slow progress of police and officials, he decides to search for the terrorists on his own and heads off to Columbia, fighting drug-lords and jungle-guerillas. Well, its not very hard to figure out the rest of the storyline.

Working with Arnold are: Andrew Davis (director), Francesca Neri (italian actress) and Marina Isabel Vera Flores (Mexican actress, local of the shooting area), Peter Tothpal (Arnolds hungarian hair-stylist), Jeff Dawn (Oscar-winner for makeup in T2), Dieter Rauter (Arnolds stand-in) and Stunt-Man Billy Lucas.

The planned Release Date for the film is August 2001.
