Kenny Baker came into the TV Studio, where I work, to promote that Great British Christmas tradition... Panto. For those of you who don't know it involves failed stand up comedians and ex-soap star dressing up as boys and slapping each other, much to the delight of small children and old ladies tired of to much food and "The Great Escape"
Anyway, Kenny is playing one of the dwarves in Snow White at a theatre in Manchester England. I got to talk to him, and we spoke about his role in Star Wars. This is what he said
"This year they where filming in Australia, but I didn't go because I was working in America, I wasn't out there filming in June and July, but I spoke to the production when they came to London recently and I haven't been dropped from the film... George (Lucas) has asked me to go back for filming in March 2001, in Sydney..."
This is the big bit....he said "I think the Second film will be called "Rise of the Empire", it's a romance..."
There ya go, if anyone is interested Kenny is appearing at The Opera House in Manchester UK until after Christmas.
