Hey folks, Harry here with another story about local University of Texas Film Grad, Tsui Hark (betcha didn't know that one), as he revisits the beginnings of his film career. ZU: WARRIORS FROM THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN was 18 years and 33 films ago for Tsui Hark. It was the movie that really launched the entire revitalized Hong Kong film market. The wires, the magic, the amped up action. The success around the world. Now, in a completely different world of action and special effects, Tsui Hark is filming a GRAND return to the characters within ZU's universe. He's assembled quite a talented cast of actors: Ekin Cheng, Cecilia Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Louis Koo and of course... Sammo Hung as the Fat Man. It looks like Ekin Cheng will be playing Zu, and he has been fantastic in films like STORM RIDERS and A MAN CALLED HERO, so this is something to be excited about. ALSO with Yuen Woo-Ping handling the action choreography... drool.... well, you see they have worked together seldomly... but when they have: WICKED CITY, ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA II, THE IRON MONKEY, BLACK MASK and the also upcoming BLACK MASK 2. The first film was an amazing journey into fantasy using fairly simple special effects... this time... ewwwww... I can't wait!
