More Pics and Reporting From The Set of MEN IN BLACK 2

Hey folks, Harry here with a second report from Fourmyle of Ceres... and this time he's including pictures of his own!!! You add these reports to the earlier Spy Reports and well... it's adding up to something to read... I wasn't a big fan of the Original MEN IN BLACK... I thought it was O.K., but nothing particularly grand... Here's the news on the latest incarnation...

Harry,

Fourmyle of Ceres here again, with some photos of the diner to go with my story from yesterday. There are two angles of the diner with the saucer and a mediocre shot of Smith (would've been better, but there was this taxi coming, and well...) Smith's the tiny face and tie to the right of the guy in the light blue shirt.

You can see how the diner was lit last night (Tuesday 6/12), with the trusses on the roof supporting lights aimed down and into the front diner windows from the outside. It was for an interior shot, with extras walking back and forth along the sidewalk outside the front window.

There was a crane 20 or 30 feet up over the next corner (to the left, as you're looking at the diner) loaded with spotlights aimed back toward the diner. It was creating an unexpected effect--since the spot below the crane was the best illuminated piece of street for miles, people were standing under it for better visibility while hailing taxis. Hysterical. And very effective.

This afternoon, Wednesday, they were removing the trusses and lights from on top of the diner, so if there's to be any business with the saucer, it may be tonight. Forecast is for hot and muggy here through tomorrow.

Also, parked on the street last night were two cars being kept under car-covers. Neither outline looked like the Town Car, both were smaller, and one looked to be painted white. I didn't hang out too late, so I don't know what happened with them. The crowd of onlookers Tuesday night was larger (several hundred), and for a while included Debbie Harry, who lives in a nearby apartment building.

In a completely unrelated and unexpected celebrity spotting, this afternoon Leonard Nimoy was on the C train, frowning at the posted subway map as he was headed downtown. Some people were staring, but all respected his privacy in that special tender way only New Yorkers on a subway have--that's why New York is just the friendliest darn city there is.

Enjoying my visit,

Fourmyle of Ceres
