Hot buttered Jesus!! Someone at New Line must really be a fan of Guillermo Del Toro's rough cut of BLADE 2. I've heard from someone close to the picture that it is "awesome," and I know I'm dying to see what Goyer and Guillermo came up with. A friend who visited the sets in Prague raved to me about them, and also described the main monsters in the film as "fucking insane."
"Awesome"? "Fucking insane"? How can we go wrong?!?!
According to VARIETY's Michael Fleming, David Goyer is already signed to write and produce BLADE 3. Sounds like this franchise is just picking up steam, and New Line's smart to release the film in March, where THE MATRIX did so well the summer of '99. If BLADE 2 delivers what it promises, look for it to be next year's first monster summer hit.
