Seth Green In TERMINATOR 3'!

Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

I'm still trying to trace how this one got started, but I've been e-mailed about a dozen times this weekend by people who say they've heard that Seth Green (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, RAT RACE, RADIO DAYS, AUSTIN POWERS) is stepping in to replace Edward Furlong as John Connor in the in-development TERMINATOR 3.

Rumors on this film have been flying fast and furious, like the one that Vin Diesel would be playing a bad guy in the film, something that my sources at Mostow/Lieberman say simple isn't true. Right now, the main bad guy in the film is still a female terminator, as in the original Teddy Serafian draft that I hated so very, very much.

But let's assume this is true, and Furlong has opted out of the new film. Is Seth Green a good choice? Could be. No one's let him really stretch in a drama before, and there's something about Seth, a sincerity, that could be quite effective in the role.

Of course, John Connor was also supposed to be a supreme badass once he got older, and with Seth standing somewhere between two and three feet tall, the visual end of things might play a little on the absurd side.

I'll work to sort this one out later this week.

"Moriarty" out.
