Hey folks, Harry here... This morning Variety is announcing that a new screenwriter is taking the writing duties on WONDER WOMAN at Warner Brothers. Screenwriter Peter Levens is the key-tapper at task for this tale of an Amazonian Princess here amongst us.

The project has long been troubled and cursed with scripts the likes of which to turn you kill crazy mad, but recently the project had a change in fates when it wound up in Joel Silver's happy lap. From what I hear, they are now looking to take Wonder Woman back to her origins... Does this mean we'll see her fighting the War God MARS or does it mean she'll take on the Nazis and the Japanese? I'm not sure... Will we find out how she traded identities with Diana Prince, the army nurse that gave Wonder Woman her name, as she married and became Diana White? God, I'd love to see Wonder Woman judo toss a rampaging wild elephant back into his cage! Personally I'd love to see this film have that timeless feel.

It has been a long process of adaptation so far for Wonder Woman... There's been Becky Johnston, Jon Cohen, Todd Alcott, Charles Moulton and Kimberlee Reed... and that's just who I've known about. But who is this Philip Levens chap? Well, he's got a wonder woman script set to shoot soon already. Not the superhero, but the wonder woman known as Patricia Highsmith. He adapted her novel, FOUND IN THE STREET which is set to go into production with Kirsten Dunst, Clive Owen and Christopher Walken aboard. That's actually a film to watch as it will mark the directorial debut of Steppenwolf Theater co-founder, Terry Kinney and is being produced by fellow Steppenwolf legend, John Malkovich. Levens has created a pilot for Joel Silver and now he's tapped to do justice to that woman with the nifty bracelets, that golden lasso and well... that Amazonian warrior look. Personally, I hope they cast this with a WOMAN, not just some hot chick, but a strong and powerful woman with that allure needed to convince us she can kick ass. My ass would definitely be in a seat if Carrie-Anne Moss was aboard... What about you?
