The live action SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO (i.e. STARBLAZERS) live action moviefication has now opened in Japan. While we've yet to receive word on a theatrical or DVD/Blu-Ray release in the U.S. (the later of which would seem almost certain - but who knows?), we can get a brief (albeit uninterpreted) sense of the picture through this reel of 5 minutes of footage from the film. Looks quite cool, but…Lots. Of. Steadicam.
