The explanation would be a better way of putting it. You can set off all manner of crazy events and scenes, but the real test is explaining it all. Take Minority Report, The Forgotten, The Mothman Prophecies for instance. All fudged up by the reasoning behind the events.

BUT the vines swinging scene was just pointless, silly and embarassing altogether; and that comes from someone who liked Indy IV. Quite a lot.

DJ Caruso might do good work with it, he certainly seems to appreciate the material. Not so sure about Shia, he might look the right age when they get it together in a couple of years but...I have a feeling I can spell out what his performance will consist of. He'll do something embarassing or silly and then do something puppydogish and endearing. Been there, done that. Eagle Eye looks like a step in the right direction though.

What's with all the Shia hate? Admittedly, I may be the only person on this thread who didn't see Indy 4 (although I heard Shia was one of its few positives), but still, Spielberg's right about Shia. He's got IT. He's the only reason Transformers was watchable. He was consistently funny on Even Stevens. And has anyone even seen him in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints? THAT'S his best work yet! Lay off the kid. He's got the goods. He may not be the next Tom Hanks but he's one of the better actors of his generation.

he can be hit and miss. i didn't think he was great in transformers (which disappointed me) i did think he was one of the best things in indy (which was ok but not fantastic) it did piss me off how god damm happy marion was all the fucking time. with her history with indy she shoulda clocked him the first time she saw him (again). disturbia was good i thought. transformers is a blight but overall, he seems ok. plus i like the look of this movie, even if it has been done before. remember there are only seven stories.
