Hey folks, Harry here – and it seems that everyone, everywhere is List Nuts, so why the hell not celebrate the year in which the High Def War was decided with a list of the best Blu-Ray releases of 2008. Like on my DVD Column, the art and titles are clickable – but since you are all awesome super film lovers, you won’t need to because, of course, you have these 10, don’t you?

Hey folks, Harry here with the very last DVD PICKS AND PEEKS of 2008. It’s a short bunch, but then there isn’t really much coming out today other than what you see here… at least that tickles my fancy. We’ve kind of hit the doldrums of Home Video release here for a bit, but it’ll pick up soon enough.

Hey folks, Harry here… This just got caught in the hell of this season. For one – many of the titles arrived late, then there’s all the Academy Screeners I’m going through (and needing to review) and lastly and most time consuming, the work on Butt-Numb-A-Thon X. Can’t promise next week’s will be on time either – but I’ll try. I hate it when these things come in late, but I’ve been doing this for 4 years now and sometimes, they just come in late.

Hey folks, Harry here – This is a day late due to my New York travel and family from out of town, hope you’ll still enjoy it. As always if you click on the title or the box art you’ll be taken magically to Amazon where you can learn more on the title in question and if you’re feeling the urge, you can purchase it and a small portion will go to support the efforts of this column to continue to bring you the best from the land of home video. Here ya go…

Hey folks, Harry here… On Time this week and I hope you enjoy it, there’s some really good stuff this week, and I’ll let you get to it, so I can finally go to sleep… ugh… As usual, the box art and titles are linked to their corresponding AMAZON page where you can learn more about the title in question and/or purchase it. If you do purchase it at Amazon through a link, you should know that you’re going to support this column with a small portion of that price, so by all means… Help America’s Economy! Here ya go…

Hey folks, Harry here… This past week has been crazy for me. I’ve been recovering from a crazy Halloween party, an awesome Election night and working on a lot of stuff regarding Forrest Ackerman. But the hardest part has frankly been concentrating. My liberal brain has been in overkill with Election mania since Obama got elected and I have been absolutely addicted to reading every article every where.

Hey folks, Harry here with the last DVD TUESDAY before ELECTION DAY TUESDAY – when we’ll all be glued to our sets celebrating or crying profusely. For now, it’s just another Tuesday of DVDs – and I’m getting these out a little early, due to my ambitious Halloween party line-up here at Geek Headquarters.

Hey folks, Harry here with this week’s DVD PICKS AND PEEKS. Fun stuff to be had – lots of gamma happening here, along with some great silents & looney tunes. As always, by clicking on the box art or the titles, you’ll be sent to Amazon where you can learn more on the title in question, or you could purchase it, which would help to sponsor this column and it’s ongoing search for cool shit for all of us. Let’s get on with it, shall we…

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
I’ve got more Fantastic Fest reviews still coming. I have a feeling I’ll chip away at those for a while. One of the films I really adored, though, is the new documentary NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD, which is a loving look back at a whole wave of filmmakers who revitalized the Australian film industry using sex, violence, and a whole lot of stuntmen who seemed perfectly willing to die on camera.

As always if you click on the title or the box you’ll go to AMAZON where you can learn more on the title – or if you’re feeling “the urge” you can purchase the title – and a small portion of the expense will go to support this column. I hope you find some gems, they’re certainly there this week… Check out that David Lean Blu Ray!

Hey folks, Harry here with this week’s DVD releases – one day late. If I told ya why, you wouldn’t believe me. Crazy 48 hours. Seriously. And the list is rather lengthy. However, this has me all caught up and I’ve already started work on next week’s so I’m back on track – and with no festivals to distract me! Woo Hoo!

Okay, let's say it's the year 2008, you are a horror fan, and the one thing that would really hit the spot for you in the near future would be a low budget FRIDAY THE 13TH (part 1) rip-off with a unique brand of in-your-face FUCK YOU AND YOUR MOTHER New York attitude. But not SLEEPAWAY CAMP, you already saw that one. Well then November 4th is your lucky day, dickwad, because that's when original SLEEPAWAY CAMP director Robert Hiltzik returns to Sleepaway Camp with his sophomore directorial effort, RETURN TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP.

A few weeks ago, I had the rather mindblowing opportunity to tour Stan Winston Studio out in Van Nuys, California. To say that I was "overwhelmed" when I entered the showroom is a gross understatement. As I stood at the entrance, the first creatures that caught my eye were the Commando Elite and the Gorgonites from Joe Dante's smart, subversive SMALL SOLDIERS. Pretty cool. Then I made my way into the room, and completely lost my ability to process visual information for a few minutes.

Hey folks, Harry here with this Tuesday’s DVD PICKS & PEEKS! Criterion in particular has some great stuff for us – and there’s a lot to check out. However, as I’ve written this column, I’ve been watching the GODFATHER trilogy on Blu Ray, due out next week – and DAMN. DAMN it’s magnificent!

As always by clicking on the art or titles, you go to Amazon where you can learn more on the title in question – or, if so inclined you may purchase it there, thus contributing a small portion to help continue to support this column, which I hope you enjoy. Here ya go…

Hey folks, Harry here with the first DVD PICKS AND PEEKS of September 2008! All sorts of treats lay in wait for you. I hope you enjoy the list as much as I had watching and making it. As always if you choose to click on a DVD or Title you’ll be taken to AMAZON where you can learn more on the title in question – or you may purchase it, which would in turn go to support this column in its efforts to bring you the best DVD preview there is out there. At least its me personal goal.

Hey folks, Harry here... I don't know about you, but I'm an animation super junkie. I love classic Disney animation - and I'm insanely excited to be getting SLEEPING BEAUTY on Blu-Ray here shortly - but today I got the below press release announcing that we'll be getting PINNOCHIO, SNOW WHITE, FANTASIA, FANTASIA 2000 with DESTINO! and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST afterwards. Of course the bummer is that this announcement is their schedule of releases through 2010. But hey... at least we know the schedule! Here ya go...

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
You know who’s a badass?
Quint. Quint is a gen-u-wine badass. That boy announced a column with a punishing publication standard, he started it, and he has stuck to it. Bad. Ass.
I am not a badass. I’m a distracted dad of two who is lucky he remembers where his computer is these days. Doesn’t mean I’m seeing less films... it’s finding the time to write about them inbetween other things that has become increasingly difficult.

Hey folks, Harry here with another DVD Picks & Peeks. Pretty damn fine group of titles this week – for the second week in a row! Let’s get into it, shall we? As usual you can click on the art or the titles and it’ll send you to Amazon where you can learn more on the title or you can purchase them there – where a portion of your purchase will go to continue sponsoring this column. Much thanks to those of you who do – and to those of you who don’t… I hope you find the columns and links useful all the same. Here ya go…
