Hey guys, Quint here with a little notice for you classic movie fans out there. I feel a little bit out of place reporting this because I've never once seen one of Ms. Ann Savage's movies.
The one she's most known for is DETOUR, which was on my A Movie A Day list (still is), but seemed to keep slipping past every time I dipped into noir... to the point where I have a 5-noir box set featuring DETOUR and I hit all 4 other films in that set, leaving DETOUR for later.

Hey folks, Harry here... I've never been the biggest Gambit fan, but I've always respected the character's immense fanbase. Sadly, I'm afraid fans of Gambit will be about as satisfied as VENOM fans were by SPIDER-MAN 3 when they see next summer's WOLVERINE. And I think that disappointment will begin when Gambit fans click on the below link - and then later when they realize that he has a very small part in things... but maybe that's good... if he's forgettable here... perhaps he can be done justice easier later on. Right? Maybe?

Hey folks, Harry here... I never thought that the PINK PANTHER movies were an impossible to recreate series of comedies. I love Peter Sellers' character, but really, did you ever think that it was the sort of character that was absolutely im-fucking-possible for Steve Martin to pull off without looking like he's completely devoid of talent?

Hey guys. Quint here with some bad, if not unsurprising news. We got alerted earlier this morning that word of Paul Newman’s death was spreading across Westport after many months of reports of his battle with cancer.
But I have no connections to anybody around Newman and didn’t want to post an obit with the only word being unconfirmed message board posts. And I also didn’t want it to be true.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I love The Dark Knight. Amazing movie, the kind of film that can make people not even want to attempt to make movies because it won't turn out that iconic and badass... I felt the same way after seeing CHILDREN OF MEN.
I trust Chris Nolan implicitly at this point. If WB announced that he had chosen Cher for Catwoman I'd be the first to say, "That's not my choice, but what the fuck do I know? Go for it, big guy."

Right as I sat down to intro this reader review of BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA, an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale knocked my Harvey Pekar bobblehead onto the keyboard of my laptop. I knew there were forces beyond our comprehension at work on this movie. Hey guys. Estelle Getty died yesterday after a battle with dementia. Although her role as the hilariously uncensored Sophia in Golden Girls is first and foremost in my mind, I was surprised to find both TOOTSIE and MANNEQUIN on her filmography. I completely forgot she was in Mannequin!
