Tis one pretty much speaks for itself. Big thanks to LoquaciousMus for taking the time to send along her thoughts...
Went to the Dark Knight Blu Ray release event with Chris Nolan last night.

Though I thought it was incredibly apparent that Harvey Dent/Two-Face was dead at the end of THE DARK KNIGHT, there are those who insist that he's not "movie dead" because we don't follow the character's corpse from embalming to interment (as has been the custom since Porter's THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY). Since I was fortunate enough to snag an interview with Aaron Eckhart today at the TOWELHEAD junket, I decided to ask him what he thought about such speculation.

Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT is the Batman movie I wanted in 1989: a savagely downbeat epic that views Gotham City as a disintegrating, crime-choked microcosm of the United States. It's a film about the impossibility of justice in American life and the viciousness to which we'll succumb in order to see another day; a cheerless summer blockbuster that ultimately exhibits just enough faith in humanity to keep from descending into utter misanthropy.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I saw THE DARK NIGHT early this afternoon, in mind-boggling IMAX no less.
And I’m going to another screening at the IMAX tomorrow.
And I bought tickets to the Thursday midnight show at the IMAX a month ago when they went on sale, so I’ll be back Thursday night.

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
The only way to truly discuss these films and why they matter is by getting into the marrow of them, the real thematic meat. That means spoilers, but I want to offer you some non-spoiler thoughts before that, so you can get the overview if that’s all you want.

Hey folks, Harry here... On the other side of WALL*E... for me the film I'm geekin' hardest for is THE DARK KNIGHT. I watch the TV spots relentlessly. The new glimpses at Heath's performance are both hearthbreaking & illuminating. And every nuance of that performance feels like a revelation.... and I absolutely can't see a bright star's final burst of light upon the screen. This review avoids major spoilers but does reveal the basic framework - so if you don't like to know a thing... why'd you even click here. The word is... the film is GREAT. You can leave now.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. You've probably heard about this scene... now, thanks to the Joker's website, you can see it and get your first moving glimpse (and I use that term loosely) of Two-Face! Thanks to Bobby for the heads up.
DON'T GO TAKE A LEAK OR YOU'LL MISS HIM!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Now this is gross. Awesomely gross.
I can't wait for this. If you saw the bit in the last trailer, with Dent in profile... and you can see a tiny bit of the scarring... it seems to match the below, which was scooped by comicbookresources.com.
I think it's real and if it is, holy shit what an awesome look... Nolan is the man.

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
By now, about 47,000 of you have e-mailed me to tell me that the DARK KNIGHT trailer’s online officially. And that’s in an hour. I’m impressed. You guys are officially rabid, and there’s no two ways about it.
And I don’t blame you a bit.

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
I think a lot of people expected for today’s big DARK KNIGHT viral campaign reveal to be the new trailer, but I think we’re still a few weeks off from that. Instead, today brought an unexpected new poster, and it’s stunning:

You can find the poster at its original source if you use the WhySoSerious site.

Okay, well, these renegade images have been circulating for a few days now. At first they seemed to disappear from sites and message boards pretty damn quickly, so I didn't see much point in posting them here.
However, the pics have recently enjoyed some amount of hang time on a few URLs, giving me hope (admittedly a fool's hope) that they might endure here for more than 33 seconds.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. In case there was any doubt, Aaron Eckhart confirms that you will not only see Harvey Dent as Two-Face in THE DARK KNIGHT, but that his arc will continue into the next BATMAN film. He also has some carefully chosen words about how they're bringing Two-Face to life...
Does Harvey get scarred in this movie or will we have to wait until the next one to see that?
Harvey Dent turns into Harvey Two-Face in this movie. So that answers your question better. [Laughs]
