While we patiently await staffers Harry, Moriarty, Father Geek, Capone and Quint to vote on the second AICN Movie Award (the only one that counts, if you’re to ask me), I thought readers might be curious to see how the other critics awards are tallying up.
Among the regional critics associations, “Slumdog Millionaire” tops the most lists I’ve seen, though WALL-E is getting plenty of love as well:

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here.
I’ve been a big fan of Mr. Danny Boyle’s work since TRAINSPOTTING and was even one of the only people, seemingly, to dig the hell out of A LIFE LESS ORDINARY. So when the opportunity to sit down with him as he came through Austin promoting his newest, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, I jumped at the chance.

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here, with the list of winners for tickets to see the screening on Wednesday, November 5, of SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE at the AMC 600 North Michigan Avenue Theaters. All of the names below should have received an email from me with the details on the time and place of the screening. If your name is on the list, and you did not receive an email, let me know and I'll get you the details.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This trailer hit a couple days ago, so apologies for the delay time getting his posted. I can only blame the evil spirits that invaded AICN on All Hallows Eve.
I saw Danny Boyle's latest film, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, a couple weeks ago now and I'm still reeling from it. It's an amazingly emotional movie that'll hit you square in the chest. One of the pleasures of the experience for me was going in knowing nothing about it other than 1) Danny Boyle and 2) the title.

Hey folks. Capone in Chicago here once again, with another screening opportunity for Chicago-area folks, and this one I'm particularly high on.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Princess Buttercup has seen a slew of movies that I'd strangle some Nazis to check out, especially Charlie Kaufman's SYNECDOCHE, NY. She says it'll be a love/hate film and I'm fine with that. I love films that force you out of the middle, I just hope on the right side of that. And I'm very much looking forward to NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU. PARIS JE T'AIME really, really, really worked for me. And we have a Danny Boyle movie covered below!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Danny Boyle's got a new one and in keeping with Danny Boyle tradition it's a departure from his last flick.
It's called SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and it's about an illiterate street kid from Mumbai who wins the top prize on the Indian version of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?
They've cast Dev Patel (from British TV show SKINS) as the kid and have a script from Simon Beaufoy (THE FULL MONTY). Boyle brings his regular DP, Anthony Dod Mantle, to lens this one as well. Warner Independent Pictures and Pathe are in talks to distribute domestically (former) and abroad (latter).
