Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
Here's the thing about Oliver Platt: Any movie or TV show that he's in, even the worst piece of crap under the sun, is going to be good for at least the stretches of time that Platt is on screen. I don't want to oversell the guy, but he has never put forward a bad performance in anything. Just seeing his face on screen makes me smile, and when he opens his mouth, he makes me laugh.

As I mentioned in my Australia review, I've been trying to finish this review for about a month. It's not for lack of inspiration or time (well, it is time, actually), but because of how gushing every draft I've written has been. Re-reading my initial thoughts after the screening even had me wondering if I was a plant. So I'll try my best to keep the hyperbole to a minimum, but I make no solid promises...

I've been curious about this one since the first trailers leaked a while back (HERE), although I'm a perennial Ron Howards doubter so I couldn't get too excited (contrary to Talkbacker opinion,. I really don't hate everything).
But from what I'm hearing so far? Sounds like Ron pulled this one off nicely.

Late last week, we got a glimpse of Ron Howard's FROST/NIXON via an embed of the film's international trailer. More about the trailer, and the Talkbacks that accompanied it, can be found HERE.

CinemaBlend has posted the international trailer for Ron Howard's FROST/NIXON. If I understand correctly, this was apparently posted somewhere yesterday, but was subsequently disappeared.
For the moment at least, you can find it...

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
Ron Howard is a machine.
I am always amazed by these guys who can move from one film to another without pause, and Howard stays crazy busy. FROST/NIXON was a great play, and I thought the script adaptation was very strong. It all comes down to how well Howard co-ordinates these performances and how he’s able to turn this into a cinematic experience as opposed to just a stage piece.
To the Pseudonym whom it may concern,

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
I’m looking forward to this one. I read Peter Morgan’s original play, but didn’t get to see it performed. Basically, the big question is how do you translate the play to the screen without altering the experience that’s been such a success so far?
Did they pull it off? One audience in Manhattan had a chance to see for themselves recently...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We got what I believe is our first review for FROST/NIXON, directed by Ron Howard, based on the play of the same name. Our spy, calling him/herself THE AMBER SPYGLASS, sounds very... young. But he/she loved the movie. The review isn't filled with spoilers, but you get a basic idea of the flick and the reactions of our spy. Keep in mind this is still a work in progress. Enjoy the brief review!!!
