Heya guys. The Northlander here with my own little BNAT X summery.
This, as some of you know, is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of going to one of these events, the first time being last year - I still use my HD-DVD player btw and I’ve gotten three or four new HD-DVDs at Cheapo this year so far.

Hey folks, Harry here... The greatest surprise and bit of awesome for me at BNAT X was MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D. When the film was offered to me, I almost didn't accept it because they wouldn't show it to me early - and I had ZERO word of mouth. But the folks at Lionsgate swore to me that it was awesome. Ok, their funeral, I thought. Besides, I didn't have a horror film this year otherwise, I had a perfect programming slot for it. And HOLY SHIT!

BNAT impressions from a noob
It’s almost become a cliché at this point that BNAT is about more than just the 24 hours spent in the theater, but this is a story that proves the cliché to the nth degree.

Monty Cristo reporting from my cell.
I'm desperately trying to remain conscious, as BNAT X had its way with
me and I'm completely raw, spent, and liking it. I want to throw some
quick impressions out there for the AICNites out there. I'm going to
skip trailers for the most part and add some non-film related stuff
from the event too. Please excuse in advance my altered mental state
when it comes to my analytical skills, I'm weak with movie exhaustion.
Without further ado...

Nordling, here.
I knew I was in for a special BNAT (but they're all special) when I
found myself geeking out with Elijah Wood over the latest Pixar
masterpiece in the Alamo Drafthouse Men's Room. But more on UP later.
This was it. Butt-Numb-A-Thon X. 10 years of Geek Christmas, brought
to us by AICN's Master of Ceremonies, Harry Knowles, in celebration of
his 37th birthday. It was even blessed by Yahweh Himself, or at least
Cecil B. DeMille, when Massawyrm brought out the actual slabs used in
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, and they stayed next to the South Lamar

Hey folks, Harry here... Every year - as a sort of tradition - I've playfully put up a list of films that would be an ALTERNATE BNAT that you folks at home could play along with. It has become a guessing game, and something kinda evil on my part to torment and torture the guessers with. This year - is a kinda crazy year for so many reasons, the least of which is... well... it's the 10th Anniversary - so I'm supposed to exceed expectations - and I'm not entirely sure I've done that, but I do know I am so fucking pleased with the line-up, that I won't know what to do with myself.

Hey folks, Harry here... I am finally essentially through with nearly all BNAT X prep. THANK GOODNESS! There's a few things to let folks know.
1) BUTT-NUMB-A-THON 10: PRE-PARTY
Ok, first off. BNAT is a party, but over the last few years, we've congregated at an agreed upon location the Friday before BUTT-NUMB-A-THON and gotten a LOT of the chatter out of the way. Cuz once films start, mouths stop - but BNAT is about creating new friendships, as well as enjoying the Saint Jack style friendships that come about through this festival.

Hello BNATTERS, Harry here... As of now, I haven't received a single cancellation from a single attendee for BNAT X. That's very unusual - but I looked back and I never made a note for those of you that made the list, that for one reason or another have discovered that you can't make it, that you need to contact me ASAP letting me know if you can't make it.
Drop me an Email here with the subject line - "BNAT DROPOUT"

Hey folks, Harry here... nearly 3 weeks out from BNAT 10. I think this has actually been the most stressful of all BNATs that I've ever put together. Reasons for that will make themselves evident later. Ahem.
But I've just gotten over the biggest hump in pulling off this AMAZING BUTT-NUMB-A-THON and my stress levels have returned to my normal Buddha levels. But I then realized - OH COOL! Now is the time to do the call out for the fabulous BUTT-NUMB-A-THON GOODIE BAGS!!!!

Hey folks, Harry here - Man this new web interface sure does make putting groups together difficult and really makes everyone stand out as individuals first and foremost - so this really made everyone stand out and alone for the first time. Also, the themed photos were hilarious and awesome. Amazing how inventive so many of you were. This year's yearbook will be the best yet. And I believe the whole THEMED images will become a standard from here on. Just cuz... it's that much fun. Now - if you don't see your name below - and you submitted from the Austin Area - take hope.

Hey Folks, Harry here - I've got my galoshes on and I'm ready for the flood of BUTT-NUMB-A-THON 10 applications - No matter how much time I give folks, it's always that final 24 hours that brings on a Tsunami. The flood has already begun, and it seems that folks have been busy building props, doing amazing costumes or just thinking of funny & ironic situations under which to be photographed. And it seems BANGS are in for girl geeks that read AICN... I have to say... it is very nice.

Hey folks, Harry here - I had sent Tim League off to the Island chain of Ponga to meditate upon the brilliance that will be BUTT-NUMB-A-THON X - that's Roman for 10, he tells me and not the rating for the festival... though, you never know.

Hey folks, Harry here... It's so strange doing this particular BUTT-NUMB-A-THON announcement. It's my 10th one. I've done 9 1/2 BNAT announcements prior to this - and doing the TENTH one... It just feels different.
